new coral: Alveopora
Well, I saw it yesterday at my LFS and after debating with myself I desided to buy it. I had one for awhile and it was doing really well and actually growing but during my last vacation it was knocked ovet into my rose anemone and was killed
I made sure it is nowhere near my anemone this time.

I love the metallic coloration on that Alveopora. They're supposedly easier to keep than Gonioporas (aka Flower pot by those petco peeps).
Let us know how it does in your tank ![]() - ELmo |

The size of the colony is about 4"x5" but I hope that it grows and gets bigger. I'm feeding my tank with phytoplankton and they supposedly take up some nutrients from water through direct absorption. I'm hopefull so far.![]()

I'm sorry to report that the colony were lost to...yes,you guessed it right,my third rose bta clone that moved overnight and by the morning time I was fraging like crazy trying to salvage it
It happened just a couple of month back I had one one branch living for about a month after that but it was lost as well. The polyps didn't come out as they used to after it was stung by the anemone. I usually get downstairs every morning to check on my tanks but that morning I couldn't as I was in charge of my granddaughter...anyway, I'm hoping that I can complete a trade with Minh for a frag of his Alveopora when it warms up a bit.It is one of my favorite LPS of all times.
