Spawning

Last night I had a mess after all my clams started to spawn in my personal tank. Was doing water change at 12:30 this morning.

Barry,

How are the clams now, after this event? Did you figured out what could've trigger this,if anything? Must've been a wild night for you-what an orgy

Checked my tank and it was 80 so don't think that was enough to trigger the spawn.

I did how ever loss one after he got through spawning. He just pulled himself into the shell and that was it. The other 8 clams are doing well. Glad I have a good skimmer on that tank as by morning is was all clear.

Barry,

How big were the clams or small for that matter? My tank hit 83 for almost three weeks due this crazy heat wave we had and I had nothing happened... so far. I hope they all pull through for you, Barry.
