Frag Showing Some Cool Polyps

This one has some unique colors and has some good polyp extension showing in my tank. These were taken with a low level flash under actinic lighting.

Man, Chuck, that frag is awesome. Color wise and polyp extension wise. Actinic or not, beautiful frag.

I am guessing due to encrusting growth it is not too new?? Hope it does great for you, which I know it will.

This is actually a frag from a colony that was RTNing in my tank from all of my recent problems. I am glad that it is still alive actually. It is very blue in this shot because of the actinics, but in normal lighting, the coloration is very striking in my opinion as well. I will try and get a shot of it under normal lights soon

Very nice frag chuck! Just curious if you ever pegged down what happened to your tank? Sorry if I missed it in another thread

I forgot to say what I was thinking Anyway whats your thoughts of tanks start having problems when they reach a saturation point of growth? And would you consider your tank at that point maybe? or atleast when it started having problems....cuz your tank waz rockin but it was stuffed to the gills

I think there were multiple factors, temperature being a big one. Then a lot of dying off created havoc in the tank to keep things on the decline. I am hoping that the algae problems I have now will eventually go away in time. Crossing my fingers.

Yes I do believe the tank can grow out so much that it causes problems. Water flow, lighting issues, overcrowding against one another, all play a role in stress. Of course Temperature does too, but all of it can play some role in a declining environment. Best I can do is hang in there

Here is a picture of that frag in the normal lights by the way:
