Tear Drop

Well I found a Tear Drop Maxima 7" In th past I havenot done well with these clams due to poor collection but these come from another region.

Time will tell.

Scott, I was told that it came from The Solomon Island, In the past, most were coming out of Viet Nam,

Yeah it is a nice one. I have seen a couple lingering around but either bleaching, pinched, or gaping

True, true...my LFS sells the 7" size for about $399.00 - They also have a styrofoam box where the shells (from dead clams) are kept.
Price & their difficulty in keeping them alive has stopped me purchasing one.

2 of the three tear drops I have had for over 3 weeks now and doing very well. The other one is almost 2 weeks and looks great.

update

The large tear drop, after 7 week is doing very well. Talked with the new owner and he said that he thought that it had even colored up a little.
