Seadragons !!!!
Paid a visit to the New Jersey State Aquarium this week. Had not been there in YEARS (since they first opened).. It's a pretty cool place (OK, admittedly not as fabulous as Hawaii, but then what is?).
Their new exhibit this summer is a tank full of seadragons --both the weedy and the leafy. They have about 12 in a very tall exhibit. I have no idea how many gals it is -- probably 250+. All I can say is GO! If you are anywhere near SE PA, NJ, NY or DE, it's a great day trip. They are fabulous to watch and something you won't see often. Rebecca |

Awesome...
Tampa Bay had them for a while earlier this year. They are just magical to watch (pretty amazing for wee beasties that don't even move!). They are hard to take your eyes off...
I wonder if that is the same exhibit? Traveling Sea Dragons. How's that for a name for a band? |

VBG!!!!
If a band like Toad the Wet Sprocket can make it, I don't see why the "Travelling Sea Dragons" cant! It must be the same exhibit... They were really mesmerizing, you're right about them not moving. HOWEVER, we think two of them were getting ready to do the "funky thing" -- they had their branches all entwined together and were swimming around in circles. It was pretty cool! |
