Eye Candy

Hi Everyone!

it is that time again for me to update the web site with some new eye candy pictures from our members. The last request was a great sucess and a lot of fun; there we a ton of pictures added to the thread. Here is a link to that thread:
Show Off Your SPS

To get this started off, I will add a couple of my favorite pictures from our tank some time back before the crash.

Hey Rocky!

Yeah the clowns are our favorite by far, they are so cute!

The Acropora was a wild colony and I wish I could say that we still had it however we lost virtually all our corals during the battle of the red macro algae. Some of the corals were lost when the redux dropped after stirring up the sandbed too much (while trying to remove rocks to scrub them) and the others were lost after getting choked out by the jungle. We did have it for about 3 months before the loss. The coral in the picture was about softball size and never changed color. The new growth it showed would gow to the yellow side and then display the green polyps after a couple of weeks.

It was a great piece; our second favorite next to our staghorn.

Scott,

How's tank doing now? When you're ready, let me know and I'll shipp you some frags of my corals, whichever ones you'll like or better yet, the ones that are ready to be fragged I need to do some serious trimming becouse I'm runing out of room too fast
Some already encroching on each other and I'm sure the wars are ready to break out soon...,not good.
All you got to do is pay for shipping

PS. Rocky, that bubble is not pink at all, something is fishy with my cool pix and certain shots come out on a pink side or purple(worse).I'm fiddling with WB and all the good stuff but..., I need more time to learn this digital photography crap

Hey Gene!

Our tank is in great health right now; all levels are in check and there is no algae.

I am expecting 6 frags to come in on Wednesday to start the restocking. Whenever you got some extra frags let me know; I would lov eto get ahold of some! The frags that we are expecting include Youngei, Nana and some millipora. They should be here Wed. morning so I will post some pictures then.

Great to hear that your war with macroalgae beast is over
I'm loosing mine as well, hence the teardown plans for this fall.I'll pitch whole of the rock as well and probably nuke the tank with some clorax, just to be on the safe side
