OK guys dont want to sound like a dummy but got a question..we moved realbigfishs 150 reef tank to my house about 6 months ago and everything is going super but heres the question its about the PH when we done the move the Ph went to 9.2 and has been back and fourth between 9.2 and 9.1 its not dropped back into the 8.0s like I expected...we did put alot of new sand but it was seeded with old sand also alot of the old water was also saved..... anyone got a clue to this ??
its on a metered system so I can check the PH all the time cause I get a steady readout on the PH

Strange....
Do you add Kalkwasser? Is it fully saturated when you add it? When was the last time you Calibrated your pH meter? Hows the live stock and Calcium levels? |

To be honest, I don't believe I have ever heard of a tank running a pH above 9 for any length of time without a crash. I wonder if the readings are accurate?
Check out Randy Holmes-Farley's article on pH and how to lower it when it is too high: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issu...e2002/chem.htm
