Recent Tank & Misc Pictures
The tank is coming along. Starting to look better. The algae is starting to die off more, I think I am on the improvement side. Wanted to take these pictures prior to me installing my new pump tomorrow (replacing an Ampmaster 3000 with a 4700). I figure without the sandbed, I can really push a lot of flow through the tank
... wish me luck.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Great shots as always,Chuck. The tank looks good IMO and hopefully the worst is behind you and I'm really amaized how nice the new aquascape really looks. FWIW, I think I'm heading down the same road,as much as I enjoyed watching my corals grow I realize that I will have to break this up and yank half of the rock out and really open the space up. My tank looks like a swamp compared to yours. Can you tell I really like the open you look that you created ?
![]() PS. Forgot to ask, what is that beautiful purple frag that is absolutely gorgeous?

Thanks again Gene ... let me know what you end up doing.
That frag is a blue/purple millepora I got from Kevinpo a while back. Slow grower for now but a gorgeous piece of coral for sure. |

Now that you mention it I do remember this frag from your earlier pics but I wouldn't have guessed in a million years that it is a Millepora. None of three that I have showing polyps like this, simply beautiful coral. I hope it grows big soon enough to be fraged
I'm sincerely hoping that my wife will reconsider her decision and I can upgrade my tank to the comfortable size tank for me 72x29x24. I saw it in one of the stores here locally and really liked it. It was priced at 1300 including a stand and the cheesy hood but I would upgrade to one of the Aquaspace fixtures then. Heh, man can dream can't he? ![]()

It's been interesting to follow your progress. Do you have any more plans for improving the tank? Whats Your Livestock Situtation? -Thomas |

Well I did install an ampmaster 4700 on my closed loop today to replace my 3000. But the 3000 is back on again. The 4700 was great for flow, but was very noisy for the living room and put off too much heat ... the chiller wasn't keeping up
