Updated Tank Photos - 6 weeks later

It has been about 6 weeks since the sandbed removal, I thought it was time to post some tank pictures I took tonight. It is starting to come along.

Full Tank Shot ....

Another Full Tank Shot ....

Left Side ....

Right Side ....

A closer view of the Right Side showing the neat cave in the rockwork ....

Center Shot ....

And last ... a nice acro that I thought was going to die in the old tank that seems to be making a recovery. Crossing my fingers on this one ....

MDM,

it might seem like a far cry from what your tank looked like before but I truly believe that it will be better of in the long run. I really do! I have told you this before that I'm approching the same stage that you were in-severe overgrowth of the corals and the competition that follows it. I'm at the point where I think that I should severely frag everything to avoid what happened in your tank
It looks like my tank looked 2 years ago, except for that gorgeous staghorn

Yeah it looks to be coming along very nicely! That stag is awesome; I'm glad that is one piece that made it through everything ok. It's what, a good 8" x 8"?

Thanks guys ... I would say that it is 8 to 10 inches tall for sure. It managed to survive the ordeal. Ups and downs to it's branches, but I think it will come out okay

Chuck,

I like that you made it a centerpiece of the tank,I love this stag and always admired it in your tank. It looks like it will have plenty of room to grow now without competition from others. Maybe one day when I finally upgrade,it will be time for you to frag it and then... Take care of it untill then, please.

Yah, that piece fits nicely in that location. Without the sand bed, it has an additional 4 or more inches to grow even

I also apologize to Chuck for hijack his thread
I isolated where the leak was in my close loop. I will fix it tomorrow because I am out of PVC cement. I did this by take the whole intake loop off and start submerges it (while the pump running) until the bubble stop. One of the joint will give bubble if it is out of water and the bubble gone once it submerged under the water. I can do this because I use flex PVC for the majority of the loop.
I will also build the light fixture tomorrow and will start collecting RO water to mix the salt this coming week (550 gallons). I have two 100 gpd RO systems.
I will try to collect the sand sometime this week (or next weekend) Once I have all the water, I will add the live rock to my tank. There won't be any curing time because I have them in Rubbermaid tubs in my yard right now (in the shade) with PH. I plan to add three yellow tail damsels as soon as I have the rock in for 1 week. I love those damsels.
Before I fill my tank I will tank pictures of the plumbing, and dirty empty tank. I did not spend lots of time getting the Ca off of the glass and PVC.
Boys, I am getting new tank fever now. I have this every time I am setting up a new tank, especially when I have no tank running at the time.
