Bi-color blenny missing

My bi-color blenny has been missing for about 2 weeks now. This guy used to come out every feeding time - but not anymore.
Not that I'm really upset, because he was a clam nipper & I was trying to get him out anyway.
There has been no rise in ammonia, nitrites, or nitrate. So I'm hoping he took a trip to the sump. Any thoughts on where else to look?

In my experience, it happens one of two ways. (A) He'll be missing for a couple of weeks and you'll give him up for dead and he'll suddenly reappear waiting for his food like he's been there all the time, or (B) he died and the body has completely dissappeared back into the system without a trace. In an established tank this doesn't cause the slightest ammonia spike so it's not necessary to search for a body. If he's still alive, he's fine and will show up when you least expect it. Bi-color blennies don't seem to be real hardy or long-lived, so I think (B) is the most likely.

I would guess he is gone. My Bi color has been with me for 5 years. He always sleeps in the same spot and is very active. Knows exactly when feeding time is and is in mid water waiting. The trick is to find one that eats flake food at the store bbefore you buy it. Sometimes they can't be weaned off of their natural micro algae diet and perish from starvation.

Thanks for the input - He always is in the same spot in a piece of LR, he's always there for feeding time, & he eats everything & anything.
I'm going to assume he's dead. Since it's been a few weeks that I haven't seen him. I previously had a LM blenny (the bi-color replaced him after he died) & I think I might get another one. Or maybe put in my maroon clown that was bitten by my dogface puffer after she finishes recovering in the q-tank.
