I have a dumb question about Feather Dusters

My daughter talked me into buying a large Feather Duster. At the lfs they were just laying around. Now the dumb question part,do I need to bury it's foot in the sand or anything? It has already opened up.
Thanks,
David

I just bought 3 dusters well about a month ago... Put them where I wanted them... 1 moved itself somewhere else another was MOVED by my Blue damsel and the third decided to do a 180 and put his "mouth" in the middle of the Rock where it can barely be seen.... So I'd say put it wherever you want and see what IT does!!!

Best to stuff the bottom end into a small cave or hole in your live rock. It will eventually attach itself. The only downside is if and when it dies, its very hard to remove the old tube. Its almost like they use superglue to attach themselves.
