Tank Update - Pics (Oct 2003)

Things seem to be coming along with my tank. The algae has gone away from the cycling. Now I am ready to stock it

As you can see by these photos I have many frags in the tank. So basically the strong and more elegeant ones will survive in the tank, the others will go to new homes as the coral grows out.

    Full tank shot ...

Full tank looking downward a bit. You can see I have yet to put any more than a spattering of substrate in the tank ...

    Left side of tank ...

    Right side of tank ...

Some of the coral on the left side ...

Some of the coral on the right side ...

A few scattered pieces of coral ...

This one seems a little bleached when I got it, hoping it will color back up for me ...

This piece is a remnant from my old tank, it grows nicely when the tank is healthy ...

And of course my baby clam next to my black and blue maxima ...

    Looking GREAT

what are you going to do for Substrate? Obviously DSB is not a choice are you going to go "near bare bottom"?
    Need a Photographer?

Thanks ... it is going to be minimal substrate. A thin layer of crushed coral basically ... at most 1/2 to 3/4" in depth ...

    Chuck,

Great shots, really like the islands. Call me crazy.... but I think that piece with the blue tips is gorgeous now. I'm sure it can only get better. What do you think it will do -- will the cream bits get darker as well as the blue? I love how the blue kind of glows now.

I hope the body darkens up while the tips stay baby blue. When they are this light, it is early gone, but we will see what happens. It still has tissue, so it isn't dead yet Wish me luck on that one.

Michelle, thanks .... I am hoping my tank is on the rise again, but of course will take a while to get to where I was a year ago.
