It's been my experience and I thought general knowledge that triggers are not reef safe.

The Blue Jaw and Pink Tail triggers are considered to be reef safe from what I understand. The typically don't nip on corals or tear up substrate/rock however I think some inverts such as snails may become victim to them.

I have never had either of these fish, nor would I put them in my reef but I think this is the general concensus.

Regards,
Scott Z.
