Aquacon “just that an aqua – con”

Aquacon “just that an aqua – con” This company is out there to do nothing other the rip us off! They have no respect for there customers or the animals.

After ordering the following:
1 yellow Tang
1 medium blue hippo tang
14 Scarlet Reef Hermits •
24 Astrea Snails •
4 Emerald Crabs
3 Sea Cucumbers •
3 Horseshoe Crabs •
3 Colored Serpant Stars
2 Nassarius Snails -
1 Coral Banded Shrimp •
1 Flame Scallop
A new flame shrimp
2 green spotted nudibranch
1 purple linkia star fish
2 cleaner shrimp
1 purple base maroon riterai's
1 purple corky finger
3 blue/purple mushrooms
1 red chile coral
1 yellow devil's finger leather

“Medium” blue hippo was the size of a quarter and covered completely in ick fish lasted 2 days…..
1/2 of the snails are dead.
2 dead emerald crabs
Never came:
1 blue linkia star fish
3 blue/purple mushrooms
1 red chile coral

Only reimbursed for the "never came items"
After calling them they told me I needed to cut the tail of the fish off and send it to them and if we placed another order they would send us another fish. 1st off I wont send these ppl another penny…….
If you look on news groups and all the forums and google you will find 100s of ppl all getting ripped off by “aqua-con”…. Even the Better Business Burro has a lot of complaints about them.

I was told this is industry standard and I have no idea about reef aquaria ………!!!!!!

I'm sorry for your experience, had you asked many would have told you of their reputation. As a general rule, never trust any company that has the word con at the ind of their name

If it were me, I would continue to pester them, until they did something, or called the cops.

FWIW, this is not the industry standard, there are lots of online vendors with excellent reputations and even better customer service and return policies. Next time, consider one of the site sponsors, you'll be getting good service and supporting the site at the same time

This is just an observation...................but,

That order you posted from Aqua = con is huge for anyone to put into one aquarium at one time. Questions -----

1. How big of an aquarium are you running
2. How long have you been keeping marine aquariums

I agree that is alot to put in a tank at one time, However that is not the point!!! You could have been dividing the order into many tanks or splitting it up in club.

To late now but I have ordered from reeftopia and was very pleased everything came thru just fine and the shipping container is very secure everything double bagged and a heat pack trown in for good measure!!

they have a deal order more then $120 and shipping is FREE!!!

Angry Aqua = Conned

Wish I had read your link....I ordered from Aqua=con (first & last time) over the weekend via WEB....no order confirmation...no phone call as to arrival or "we're out of this..would you like to substitute".....just showed up at door...Ordered scarlet reef & snail pak & some shrooms...All snails dead....No clam....got medium purple tang (full price) instead of small at special price...I was told "that this is the way we do it"...BAD NEWS..SPREAD THE WORD..pissed in CT.
