75 gallon tank AFTEr the move
Well, i think its time to take a picture. This is day 2 after the move. Taken today!
Right now im going to replumb my sump refugium, so i dont have any water going there yet, just up top in the main tank. I tried to reaquascape to give more swimming room for the fish, and to have more coral room to grow. The first idea was just of an inlet through an arch type and then two islands, not touching the back wall. Apparently it seems as if the corals are just hiding them. So far none of the critters have died. IN fact, the cool thing is my pistol shrimp has made a home right by the front acrylic underneath a Galaxea coral. Interesting little guy. I can see his antennae under there and saw him busy clearing sand out the back way. I think maybe i need to get a goby.....but then again...my DSB..well ok so here are some pics, sorry i didn't really wipe the front acrylic, kinda streaky its full with powerheads right now, as no return is coming![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I also accidentally fragged my orange montipora cap, but didnt' dmg the coral at all. Actually it doesn't even seem smaller. I've placed the frags throughout the tank, so hopefully it will grow ![]() I hope i dont move again soon....what a PITA..but it was worth it. - Elmo |

Elmo,
It looks great and luckily ALL survived the move. BTW, what the heck are you doing posting pics and wasting valuable time...go plumb that sump Seriously though, thanks for pics and updates! PS. Don't worry about the cap,it needs trimming on occasion anyway if you don't want it to encrust all the rocks that it touches. Also, forgot to add that aquascaping a 18" deep tank is a real PITA if all you have is large rocks. Almost impossible to aquascape without rocks touching the back glass becouse then you are touching the front ![]()

Everything look good.
IMO, a shrimp goby is fine with pistol shrimp. They don't really dig things out of the sand to eat, they eat food that is floating by. Minh
