Yellow tint in water

Yellow tint in water

OK Got a question.... The water in my 150 reef has a yellow tint too it. I do a water change and it clears a little but gets right back yellow....any ideas

Are you using any carbon in your sump or anywhere else in the system? If not,I would certainly try using it,it will help greatly IMO. I usually use my wifes old stocking and put GAC in there and in the high flow of the sump it goes. If yellow tint is very noticeble I would change carbon every week or so. Another way to use it is to use old power filter if you have one and put carbon there.
