Sponge Problem

I have or had a very beautiful lime green sponge that I have had for over a year.It grew from about the size of a dime to about half the size of a basball and was VERY brightly colored.Just in the last few days it has been turning a brownish color and appears to be falling apart, yet I some of it still has it color.Any ideas?

Got a pic of the tulip anenome? Don't believe I have heard of them unless they go by another name! Some hobbyist put a PH on them with high current and may make them loosen their hold on the rock. Not much help! Johnny

Mine have a brighter green than his pic shows, actually they are very beautiful. He told me if I fed them they would split rather quickly as long as you had good water for them. They only get as big as a quarter according to him.I might try and sell a few of them if they continue to grow.

I don't know about the sting. But I have had mine about a month now and have gotten them to split. But I feed them directly to get them to split. If you are really intrested maybe we could do a trade? The pic does'nt really do them any justice....they are very beautiful...lots of color to them.He shipped them to me w=regular ground shipping along with 5lbs of live sand, and they made it fine along with a yuma. They took 3 days to get to me.Maybe we could do a thermos trade? Or it might be getting a little cold for that.Where are you at?
