    Scissor Tail Gobies!

Hi All! Picked these guys up at the LFS Friday! Actually I got five of them but one I found dead and the other two are MIA's. May be in hiding as this is normal for them. We will see! Johnny

Sorry to hear about the loss....the one you found was it in the Aquarium dead? or did it jump out of the tank? I would think that these guys would be prime candidates for jumping out of the tank if they can. Keep us informed on what you learn about them. they are beautiful fish Johnny!

Nice looking fish. I saw several of those at one of the LFS this past week. I was looking for a Nemateleotris decora but they had only one and it's first dorsal spine was chopped in half so I passed.

Have you sighted the two that are MIA yet? What about jumping? Have you seen any signs of that yet?

They are jumpers! They sleep all together in a burrow at night. Some will stay hidden for days then suddenly reappear just when you think they may have died looking very skinny. A very peaceful fish that you need to make sure it gets enough food. Mine are about 5-6" long.

    Johnny,

GREAT FISH! Both the local stores in my area get them in from time to time. They both had nice ones in stock recently, right before I moved, but because of the move, I passed on them (reluctantly... very reluctantly).

As soon as either store gets nice ones in again, THEY ARE MINE!

    Enjoy them!

    Rebecca
