Absolutely!
I wouldn't bother with it.
I would if it contained specific features.

Hi Steve!
I appreciate your offer and will keep it in mind. Any PHP/MySQL experience? Could use some regex help in the future too.![]()
I've dabbled in PHP/MySql, but not extensively. Some Oracle, SQL Server and SQLBase that all use varying implementations of SQL. Also some done some Perl, Javascript, ASP and a few other bits and piecesOriginally Posted by Reefland

I thought I would post a progress update for those of you that are following the development progress.
I am getting a good step along in the process and have completed many aspects of the Aquarium Logs initial version. If I had to say a percentage, I would guess that development is at 80% complete; not including the FAQ that will be built to compliment the log and other features that will become available after the intial alfa testing is completed. For more information on what is finished, please look back through the previous pages of this post. Items in Red have been completed.
To ease the anticipation a bit, here are some new screen shots.

Aquarium Log Lighting Configuration Screen (Partial):
Aquarium Log Water Test Configuration Screen:
Aquarium Log View Fish Screen:
I am still very much open to ideas for features and other requests. Once the log is ready for alpha testing, a new forum specific to the Aquarium Log will be opened for those involved in the testing and when the product moves to beta stage, the forum will be open to the public. This forum will be used to track problems to be fixed and feature requests for future versions.
Kind Regards,
Scott Z.
Wow! That looks great so far!!
I can't wait to start entering data.![]()

Now Accepting Applications!
As I continue to get closer with ending the intial development of Reefland's upcoming Personal Online Aquarium Log, it is now time for me to take applications for alpha testers. During the alpha test period, the testers will start to utilize the log as they will when the log goes public to help me identify bugs, feature additions and provide general feedback about the log for improvements.
The reason I am accepting applications is to acquire testers will all different types of tank configurations, computer knowledge and frequency of use.
To apply to become an alpha tester, please answer to following below in either an e-mail to alpha@reefland.com or in a PM to myself. Please do not reply to this post with your application.
Thanks in advance,
Scott Z.
1. Tank Details:
- Size
- Reef or FO
- Sump or Not
- Type of lighting
2. Frequency which you perform:
- Water Test
- Water Changes
- Clean Equipment
- Add Livestock
3. Do you know how to edit and resize pictures?
4. Do you know how to take screen shots?
5. Do you have any programming skills?
- PHP
- mysql
- HTML
- Javascript
All of the maintenance portions of the log are now completed and I just have to go through and work out some of the various overview screens and entry screens for guests and registered members who have not yet configured a log. Hopefully by Sunday we can start some serious testing and everyone can tell me how bad I've done so far.
I'd still be interested in a couple of more testers if anyone else is interested.![]()
I sent ya a pm.
Just to let everyone know, we are still actively working on the log and fixing some minor bugs. As of now, there are 6 bug fixes/changes that need to be addressed.![]()
Only 1 change needed before public release of the beta version; maybe everyone will see something real soon. ;)

I setup my log but one problem I see so far, I can't modify the livestock I've already entered, can't even delete and start over.
I have a decent amount of experience with PHP/MySQL and would be happy to help if needed.
This is a very cool feature.
Hi BigE and thanks for the feedback.
There is an option to edit and delete all livestock additions and additional comments when added. The Edit and Delete options are placed just under the picture (if added) or the box that says No Picture Added.
Please let me know if you do not see this.
Scott Z.
I've attached (hopefully) a screenshot of what I see... I did not upload a photo when the fish were added
I realized what the problem was; you didn't add any common or scientific names.I have sent you a PM with the links for you to access each of these fish entries and edit them.
