Minh,

Glad to see the tank is back up and running. Nice pics! Did that Alveopora survive the crash?

His last photo is of an Alveopora. They have 12 tentacles, Goniopora have 24 tentacles.

Thanks Ninong The reason i ask is because i have one in my tank it was attached to a bit of zoo rock and was retracted when i picked it up and whamo placed it in the tank and it opened up nicely so i removed it carefully and gave it a bit of space and its looking great.

I can't believe I missed this thread

Those are some fantastic pictures,Minh. I like all of them but that Squamosa picture is something else I have but one request, is it possibile to post a full tank shot? I realize that taking full shots of 500g tank is not easy but I'm interested to see how much it changed from your previous scape and all
I know you have pulled whole mess of rock out....

Edit: Minh, I totally forgot to say that your Ritteri is absolutely spectacular
I just love that magnificent purple foot...I always wanted to have one
but got stuck with the ever myltiplying Entacmaeas
Good luck with it!

Awesome pics Minh!

Glad to see your on the rebound (I knew you would be). My fav is definately the pink/blue mille....my lord thats a gorgeous coral. The mandarins are very nice too, if I remember right I read somewhere about someone (I think it was Dwayne Sapp on RC) actually got them to breed, but never raised the frye. That would be an awesome accomplishment if yours would breed, and I know if anyone can do it you can Minh! Keep up the good work and feel free too post more pics

miareefer,
It is a Alveopora gigas. You cannot tell from that picture but it is a branching Alveopora. It is a dificul coral to keep, but IMO it is on of the most beautiful LPS. I got a Close-up of it somewhere. You can see some of the polyps in the corner of the Mandarin's pictures.

zhenya,
I will post a full picture of my tank when I get home. It is not a beutiful tank at this time due to it being too bare. I only have it up and running for about 4-6 weeks now. I did not put in much rock, from prior experience, the tank will get full fast. I estimate that my tank will not mature and look fuller for at least 9-12 months.

scubadude,
It is indeed a purple, pink and blue A. milleopora I got this coral from a handful polyps that survided from shipping stress 4 years ago. This frag, I got it back from my friend here in Corpus. It does have grea form and beautiful color. Thanks.

Poseidon,
Thanks. I love my Minolta Dimage Z1.
Minh

I have 5 MH for my tank. Two Radium 20,000K 400 W with HQI Ballast. One Xanthium XM 20,000K 400 W MH with regular ballast. Two 250 W 20,000K Xanthium XM with regular ballasts.
I really like this combinations of lights. The tank looks white, but pictures have a blue cast to it. I use the Auto level function of Photoshop 6.0 to ballance out the color. The pictures posted above do have colors that are true to life as I see it (or very close to it)
Thanks,
Minh
