    some pics of my 75g

Well I have been a little bit out of it lately but I setup my own personal 75g a couple of months ago and thought I would show you guys some pics of it. The tank/stand/hood I got for 100bux and I used the back of the tank as the front cuz the front was so scratched up, had a glass shop put three holes in it for me and give me 3 long pieces of glass so I could silicone my O-flow box. The overflow is 1" DIY stockman, and the the 2 returns are plumbed to a mag12 hooked up to a SCWD (Squid rotator) This works great cuz I made 2 outputs for each side of the tank one at mid column and one just below waterlevel I get a great back and forth surge flow however the bad thing about this setup is if your electricity goes off then chances are you are gonna have a flood because of the siphon break area...So I put in a one way (See-Thru) check valve on my return so it will give me a little bit o' insurance. Anyway heres what the tank looked like a month ago with 4-4' VHOs

And now heres what it looks like after adding some of my DIY aragocrete rocks, and the lighting is 2-175w XM bulbs 10k and I took away 2 of the VHO's.

I wish I could get a better pic of these zoos (I only got a small frag of them)

Look like everything are healthy and growing well.
You should try to mount some frags on their side. I like the grow patern much better.

Could you tell me what kind of Polyp Coral that is below the Red Monti in post #2? I saw some at a LFS and they had no idea what it was... I think it is cool!!!!

    Minh,
Yeah I have tried a few that way and like the way they grow better too....seems that some corals do good that way and others dont (atleast for me) ya know my logic is that most of the time your glueing a good part of the frag that could be growing Im glad you mentioned that though because Its been a while since I have done some like that...they do seem to grow a better base alot quicker. Do you have any pics of some that you have done that way?

    Mike,
Are you talking about the 2nd post first pic? If so those are 2 different caps growing side by side (both are montipora capricornis)...I dont have any RED montis, I wish I did! You also may be referring to the birdsnest maybe? its the 3rd pic. in the 2nd post. I believe it to be Seriatopora Caliendrum

Oh ok....thats a cabbage coral (softie), its kinda in the healing mode, I got it at a reef club auction and normally wouldnt have bought it but it was only like 2 bux It was all white its just now starting to color back up you can see the part to the right of it still white....itll prolly only be a brown coral when its all said and done but they are still nice corals, they do grow fast though
