That will be a great story for quite some time Rocky. That is definitely an acropora of the efflo variety. Plus it is awesome. I say quite a steal for $40.

Thanx Sue

You have an efflo too dontcha? Gene dont you too? If you guys have em how long have you had them and how far away from your lights are they? I have mine in the bottom of the tank. I dont want to burn him and was even thinking of shading him cuz he is almost directly under a halide not quite though bulbs are about 6" from water line and Im using 2 - 175w XM 10ks
+ 2 - 110 VHO's on my 75g.

Rocky,

I'm sorry to say but I have never had one in my tank and perhaps never will, unless I upgrade of course.I don't think you will burn it with the 175 watters,Rocky. Even my montipora digis do fine directly under the 250 watts but who knows,I've seen peoples tanks lit with 400watters that keep this coral and then some that only lit with 250's

Rocky, how much has that efflo. grown since you got it?? I have a solitaryensis that came from Chris Jacobs aka schweb on RC. It's funny in that it'll grow super fast and then won't do anything for a while then it'll pack on more growth. I can't wait to see how it'll react to the new 10k XM's. Mine, when under the iwasaki's was mid tank and now under the 10k's I moved it down so I didn't freak it out.

Too bad most of our LFS's know what they get.

Hi Joe!!!!

Heya Sue
I havent really noticed any real growth yet, maybe a tad...but it was washed out a little in some areas...I have noticed it has completely recovered so Im just thankful that it has adapted for now, and its still keeping its color that I love....So I figure Ill just count my blessings and leave it alone and keep on dosing my 2 part like clockwork until I get this new kalk reactor im building online.
