I agree, mia, most of my corals were small frags that now grown into colonies and I think I simply overdid it with the frags. Most of my 7 clams will be moved, though, once I set up my clam tank.I'll move few corals there as well from this tank to give others more room to grow. Many of the colonies started to grow into each other and I need to move them soon or risk loosing them

Mike, I think you definately need a clam or two in your tank.I have to warn you, though, once you start with them it's hard to stop
They are so incredibly beautiful!

Here's a sample of some hostile takeover by my green plating Montipora over digitata

OHHH, Gene, I love the pattern on that first maxima too. It's like 2 completely different patterns mixed into one on that clam.

SWEEEET...

Hi Minh,

The only new clams in those pics are the blue maxima and a hippopus.
The teardrop been in my tank for couple of month and in the beginning of this week was not doing good at all but I think it is recovering. He's openning much better as of yesterday and mantle is much more extended then it was on Monday. This Monday morning I thought it was going to die but today is Sunday and it is still alive and doing much better. So far I couldn't determin why this clam looked like that in the beginning of the week.
Here's some pics of what it looked like on Monday and today.

Gene,
Your teardrop is a beauty. He looks fine to me. Sometime my clam don't open all the way for a day or two, especially if your tnak have lots of light, they do fine if they open-up again. Hyperextended mantle is not helathy. Thei is the trick LFS use to lure people to think that their clams are healthy (plus less electricity bill)

Thanks,Minh. I sure hope that he pulls through and recovers. It appears to me that only one side of the mantle is not fully extending and that sort of spooks me.I did a breef fresh water dip in hope s that perhaps he had some pods that were under the mantle or some sand that irritates him.Nothing came out of him but he did looked better after the dip.My large Premnas is digging sand a lot and I'm thinking that perhaps something got under the mantle and that is why he is not extendin properly on one side,it can't be good.I need to relocate him from the sand bed somewhere higher up wher he can't be bothered.

Hi reewik,

Thanks for your interest and compliment.Unfortunately I do not have a website as I'm a total ignoramus when it comes to computers
I have some pics hosted in the gallery here and here.
