Just a Picture...

I was playing around in Photoshop, I want to create a "frame template" to drop my images on. What do you think of this one:

I like the way the image kinda "floats".

I think it would work great if your site that the pic is on had a black background. the white enhances the pic becaus the picture has alot of darker tones

I have PS CS. It is pretty simple really, I open a "new" canvas, sized 2" larger on both dimensions then the picture. Then I use the rectangular marquee tool, to select an area below and to the side of the picture. Paint that area grey. Then go to filters, Blur, Motion blur, set it to 45 degress and then set pixel size accordingly. Then back to Image, Flatten then you are done. I have mada a couple "templates" now, for the images as they come out of the Camera and a 5x7 size. So I can jsut open the Frame, drop an image on top then flatten it...

Different Picture black frame.

I like the white better, but I can see where some pictures framed in black would look very cool!!!

It is just a term used to combine layers. LOL it is the last option under the Layer tab... That way the text layer, the black layer and the actual image all become 1 layer so it can be saved as a jpeg!!!
