Four armed Orange Star

Here is a picture of my new Orange star. I got it in San Antonio one week ago. I got him because of several reasons:
1. He is very bright orange
2. He only cost 10.00
3. He is missing an arem. I hope that he will be the species that will asexually reproduce by droping arms. In a few years (months?) I hope to have several clones of him.

What do you guys think?

Very neat looking starfish. You wouldn't happen to know the species?

It is really hard to tell about the species of these stars. I have not try. You got to look at the legs of them among other things. That missing leg and the stub is really what cause me to choose him. I hope that he will reproduce in my tank.
It can be any of these genus Linckia sp, Leiaster sp., Echinaster sp. + others.

Talking Nice One

That's a nice looking star. Good to see his other leg growing.

Fantastic picture I'm glad she's healing nicely and regrowing that appendage.

That's wonderful Minh! Wth all the new animals you have added and some of the before and after pictures (i.e. your anemone and this star) shows that your tank is extremely healthy!

Nice minh! Looks exactly like the Orange Linkia sp. that I have. Ordered it from saltwaterfish.com

Very nice and doing well, too.
