Test Kit Curiosity...

Hello all,
I was just wondering what test kits the majority of yall use. i use the I am using the SALTWATER MASTER Liquid Test Kit by: aqurium pharmisueticals, inc. I am very pleased with there product and what it test for ammonia, pH, nitrite, and nitrate. However I also purchased the HAGEN Ca test kit to test my Ca levels. i am not too sure about the results when testing. i was wondering if there was a better Ca test kit that would produce a simpler output for my Ca levels.

I was also wondering what else i should test for?

Also i am using Kent Marine Ca Buffer Part A & B. i would like to use a better way to stabalize my Ca without use kalk. if there is any other suggestions plese let me know.
Thanks, Tweter

Once your tank has cycled, there isn't really any need to test for ammonia and nitrite. This is when you should continually test for nitrate, calcium and alkalinity at a minimum; of course along with PH, salinity and temperature. The rest, IMO, are not required and should only be used if a problem is suspected or if your dosing additional trace elements such as Iodine or Strontium.

As far as brand, LaMotte and Salifert get the best reviews.
