Critters in my reef!!!

I was watching this thing today in my tank. It looked sorta like a centipede...it was white, with a red stripe down the side. I watched as it was crawling back into a hole....with its head and tail in the hole at the same time. Pretty weird. I kept thinking "mantis shrimp" but I have no clue since I don't have any experience with mantis. My LFS has an adult mantis for sale, calls it the "thumbsplitter". Hoping you guys could tell me what I was looking at here.....

Also, a long tube-like worm thing coming out of the side of the rock...about 2" long and as big around as a pencil lead. No appendage on the front (like a polyp), but it did have 2 segments....It would appear from the rock, wiggle around, and then disappear. Strange.....looked almost like a gray bean shoot without the leaves.....hrmmm....
