Does anyone have a preference over Instant Ocean and Coralife. I've been using Coralife for the last year and have yet to see any adverse effects on my tank. Just curious if there would be a benefit from switching to Instant Ocean. Or if there is another recommendation for salt. Thanks

I switched from Reef Crystals to Crystal Sea Bioassay, and I did lose 1 coral. It was a Pocilliapora that I had for a LONG time. But everything else seems to be doing great. This coral went from a deep brown to almost white, then it expelled it's Zooanthi (sp?) ove the course of 3 months or so. I'm blaming the salt, cause that is the only thing that changed. I'm still using it though because everything else is doing so well.

Just stick with the brand you like...and if one's cheaper, hey, why not? |
