Wased RO water question
right now i am just using a DI filter. I was told that RO filters waste a lot of water. How much are we talking about for every one gallon of RO water made?

ALOT!!!
Never really measured it, but I would guess 2-3 gallons of WASTE for every 1 gallon of RO/DI water. I have a well and run my waste water into my sump pump. From there it is pumped into my yard and eventually back into the well so I really don't "waste" any. However my best friend has city water and it freaked him out how much water was going down the drain when he started up his unit for the first time. Now he uses that water to water his flower beds in the summer. |
