Hippo question

Hey guys! Just added a Hippo. He doesn't seem to be gaining much weight though. I've been feeding flakes and sinking pellets. Just wondering what you feed yours?
Thanks,
SHOG

I feed mine Flakes, Nori attached to a clip, and I also have seen it eat frozen mysis.

Starting to worry. Tonight he never even came out from under a rock. I was barely able to find him. He is just laying there on his side. I took a power head to see if I could kinda flush him out. It blew him out and he just wingled back in under the rock and laid back down. Man, I hope its just that he is tired...

SHOG,

Give the fish a bit of time to get used to it's new environment. When a Blue Tang goes into hiding, it often looks like they are just laying on their side which to us, is a sign of problems. I am sure it will come around, just don't add any additional stress to it; it'll come out eventually.

He has actually been in there for about 3 weeks. Maybe something has stressed him here in the last couple days. I guess I will just keep my fingers crossed. I just went and looked for him again with a flash night since the lights are now off and I can say that he atleast has moved from where he was laying earlier.

I would not worry about him to much. My Hippo lays in the rocks all the time, he does it every night at the same time and through out the day.

He is very healthy.
