My two S. giganteas-Geen and Blue

Here are the pictures of my two new S. giganteas that I just got on 3/02/04. Both seem healthy without visible injury. The green one is bleached but the blue one looks OK. Wish me luck.

Here are the new pictures as the light turn on on 3/03/04.
One of the Blue pictures was taken with flash. The others were under my 250 W 20,000K MH compensated using Photo Shop (Auto level function)
The tank still looks very bare since I only have small frags. Most are only 1-3 inches. They looks hopelessly tiny in a 8 foot tank. Just rock and three anemones if I tank a full tank picture. I will have to set up a species tank for at least one of these anemones. I also got an other A. percula send to me (mistake) They seem healthy and is doing fine (had formalin dipped befor going to my tank. I did not quarantine them since I did not expected them and have no other place to put them.

Awesome!

You've got some great looking corals there and the pictures are good too.
I don't think I've seen this coral before, could anyone please give me a link where I could accurate information?

Thomas,

If you are asking about this pictures then they are not of the corals but of two color morphs of the carpet anemones.

Minh, this are spectacular pictures and specimens. You sure have big enough tank for at least one of them together with the ritteri. I do agree with you however that another, species tank would be necessary for another one. They grow to very impressive sizes as you know

They are short of 12 inches this morning. I am sure they will extend bigger in a few days.

There is no trict to it. You just need to provide good enviroment for them. BTA is a very forgiving anemone and will survide in a wide range of condition. Tell us more about your tank and your BTA. The light, the water , the temp and how you feed your anemone. What animals do you have in the tank? etc..
Maybe we can spot why your anemone is not doing well and give a suggestion.
