    Question new unknown polyp

ok guys, my friend gave me a small colony of some type of polyps. They look kinda look like star polyps but the "fingers" are a lot longer and thinner then my star polyp's. They almost look like little octopuses, they are a tanish color and live right on the rock like the star polyps do. Anyone know what this is?!?!

    Question Also....

I ALSO have a small rock with about 7 or so really small anemones on it. I dont know what kind they are and neither does my LFS. Again, does anyone out there know? Pics of the polyps and the anemones will be put in my gallery so you can take a look.

    Unknown Polyp

    Hi Skanky
The small polyps could possibly be Anthelia spp xenia it spreads very fast and has been noted to be a problem with some people ive got a few frags that ive isolated away from my main rocks and it still trys to grow along the sand bed. The second pic looks like (bad pic)Aiptasia its a real scurge of reeftanks and can be a real pain to remove .Do a search on it and you find plenty of pics for 100% id

thanx for the help..... i guess I will agree on the corals, I've looked at pics of this before but just wasnt 100% sure . now as for the anemones, the "body" is like a tannish color and the tennicals are clear with white tips.... and the tennicals are short and stubby. they are only about 1/4 inch high and about as "big around" as a pencil..... and the "mouth" is white.

    thanx again.........Bob-o
