bad live rock?
i got 18lbs of fijji live rock from my LFS, it seems kind of dull now, by dull i mean it looks brown kind of, it doesnt look anything like any pictures ive seen of fijji. all the pictures ive seen have A LOT of purple, and just all these cool looking colors, will mine eventually turn like this? or did i get some bad rock?maybe it has something to do with when i had it out of water for 2 days, in the foam sealed container with wet newspaper on it to keep it moist the whole time?

dead live rock will be that way. It will eventually grow back some or most of the coraline, but the stuff that has been sitting in the box on some dock in LA waiting for shippment for a week to the LFS or dropped shipped all looks like that lately.

Yup eventually it will grow more purple. The rock I have seen around here (Flint MI) has been real CRAP lately, so I assume it is like that all over.
