Does Gene take some awesome pictures or what!
What kind of moon light do you use?
Thanks,Guys!Originally Posted by Reefland
Scott, I have two led moonlights that I got from Champion Lighting last year.
I'll see if I can dig up a pic of it somewhere. I think it's made by aquamedic or something like that, can't remember for sure though.
Here's another shot for you guys, not reef related but i thought it was sorta cool.Note the expression in the face..like "hey, man, what is that stock to your face...don't come any closer..."![]()

Nice Gene! That top down picture really shows how our corals can grow into one solid reef. Although you get some warring going on it sure reduces the surface for any algae to grow on.
Really enjoy your pictures!

I totally agree on that statement of growing into one solid reef. Not much room for anything between the corals, even snails seem to have defined themselves exclusevely to the glass surfacesHowever, I have some coralline that I believe had been wacking some of my corals. It's the ugly beige/brown variety that came on one of the rocks.Anything that comes in contact with that looses
I'll see if I can dig up a pic of it, I know I took it last year when it was just on the rock but it is slowly creeping up on twp of my corals from the base, killing the tissue and growing over.I had resigned to leave it alone for now as I don't know what I could possibly do without doing more damage then good.
I asked Eric about it and he said it could be the WB desease and not the algae, algae is just taking over later but I think it is not becouse I have this happening on a piece of M.digitata without pronounced white band ahead of the algae take over.

Gene.

And here are the digitatas being taken over from the base![]()
Please note where Psammocora had only reached that beige/brown algae and then stopped dead in its tracks(under the green digi).
I also added a pic from 2002 when I first noticed that algae.
Kind regards,
Gene.
