hey everyone,

my clownfish are just hanging out in the top corner of my tank by the heater, they do this almost all of the time... what could be wrong?

What kind of clowns? Do you have an anenome? Are they tank raised?

I had a similar problem once with a pair of tank raised percula clowns. They always hung out at the top of the tank? They both eventually died within a week or so. What other fish are in the tank?

they are percula tank raised, they have been alive and well for over a month, and since i transfered them into my new tank, they spend a lot of time in that corner, but once in a while they swim around the whole tank, i dunno... hopefully everything will be alright??? could anyone else care to comment, and maybe give me some advice on what i can do so they dont die?

- i have no anemone, and no other fish

oh yea they also sleep at the top of the tank too... is this normal with this kind of fish? or should it be sleeping in a hole somewhere, becuase everynight when i turn the lights off they just go to the top, and when i turn the lights on there at the top again, maybe my tank is too hot? its only 80 degrees.

Nothing's wrong. Percula clownfish prefer the upper areas in a tank that does not have any hosts or surrogate hosts. They are simply staking out the heater as their "home." They might move to a new home if and when there is something more attractive to them.
