water change
haha cool, a 5gal watter change every 2 months? would that be enough?? i dont have an RO unit, so it would be a pain buying 5 gallons of distilled water every 4 weeks. i hope to but an ro/do unit soon though.
Can you elaborate a bit? If after your tank has been set up and cycled you test and get an ammonia or a nitrite reading over 0 you have a real problem.
Also, water changes are not to just reduce nutrients in the water, they also help replace elements that are otherwised used up. If you do a change every 2 months thats fine just make sure to do them consistently and know that if a problem starts to come up you might need to increase the frequency a bit.

alright cool, thanks scott
