anenome died

I had a bulb tip anenome and it got sucked into my power head and died. As soon as i noticed it i removed it and did a 30% water change.
I herd that they are poisonuse when they die. I just want to know if i did right by water change and if there is anything else i need to do. Thanks

Sorry for your loss. Doing a water change was a good idea but there is nothing else that you really need to do. keep your eye on things and if things look bad, perform some water tests to see if the death of the Anemone raised your ammonia or nitrite.

Anemones don't really release any toxins when they die but they do make a mess. Watch your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels for a while. BTW, if you have anemones it's always a good idea to cover powerheads with a foam pre-filter sponge....

Sorry for the stupid question but how will I know if my anemone is dead? Should I take it out right away if I feel it's dead?
