Upgrading my lighting and very confused

    Hey everyone,
This is my first post, and I've got a question I seriously need knowledgeable help on. I've got a 30 gallon tank that has been cycled for a week or so. I currently have the cheapo single fluorescent strip that came with the hood, but I think I want to keep a few soft corals and marine plants along with some clownfish, and I'm sure my current lighting isn't up to the task.

I don't think I'm going to get hardcore and get metal halides, so from my research its down to power compacts or VHO.

this is what i plan to get, am i on the right track? If anyone can recommend a cheaper alternative, I'm all for it. If need be, I can make a canopy for the tank.
    Much thanks

    Hi loyalty, welcome to Reefland!

Yes, I think that two 36" PC fluorescents would be adequate for your purposes.
