Great shots
As normal Gene your pics are amazing
Your picture taking skills are only rivaled by your amazing ability at reefkeeping .And as ive heard a thousand times allready your plates are enourmous and something to be very proud off.Ime glad to see that your appearing to be as keen as ever in the hobby and perhaps that tank might not be coming down after all. Congrats Americano ![]() |

Very nice pictures, as usual. Makes me wanna throw up!
I guess I'll have to read the owners manual before I try to take any more pictures. ![]()

Thanks, guys! ![]() Reading that manual helped me a whole lot ![]() Mia, you gave me waaay too much credit on the reefing skills,I do try however As far as that tank is concerned, I will break it down as soon as I have something larger that I can transfer my livestok into. I'm hoping by the end of this summer or early fall. Here's one more pic, taken a bit on the angle as I was trying to avoid reflections from the window...eh what the heck, I'll add a pic of two snails doing something...not sure what ![]()

You are darn good with that camera yourself, you just not posting pics lately ![]() I wish I could get to Washington state and your house in particular some day, however, that would require getting on the plane and that is a big no-no for me I'm a big chicken when it comes to flying in the airplanes Maybe I'll talk my wife in the cross country driving vacations one of this days...heh, like that will ever happen ![]()

![]() Here's couple more I took the other day. This coral here, I can't get over how well it recovered after the rtn type event and is growing again, rapidly at that and this is a close up shots of various green Acroporas. and this is pic of my A.chesterfieldensis that I got from Patrick M. last year. Hope you guys enjoy them.

Thanks,guys
![]() Kevin, I love that A.chesterfieldensis.Too bad I couldn't capture those huge polyps that it has becouse they really open up fully at night only. I'm begining to think that the reason could be becouse I feed my tank at night and also becouse it is directly under the bulb. Perhaps respiration has something to do with this as well. Also, a pic just above it shows a coral that I got from John(Cubera) couple of years back.It has some interesting story behind it that I'll tell some other time, what do you think of it as far as id? Those radial corallites(nariform) looks almost A.nasuta like(upside-down nariform shaped corallites) but I'm not sure at all ![]()

Gene,
A. nasuta is what came to my mind even before you named it. The ones I have seen (I have one) develop elogated leading corallites. They don't seem to come in with them though. I'm guessing they come from areas of strong water flow which may be difficult to duplicate in our tanks. Regards, Kevin

Here's my A. chesterfieldensis. I have 2 of them but the other one has more brown in it. They seem to take a ton of light to keep them green.
Regards, Kevin
