What to use to stick sand down?

What to use to stick sand down?

Okay i know that sounds a stupid question. But i will be moving soon and have the chance to get rid of my sand from the tank. I will do this because my tank will be/is sps dominated and i want to increase the flow in the tank, as its around 40 x turnover at the moment, and ive just got two more streams and this is what the flows like at the surface at the moment:
Showing the wave that is created:

Two top down views of it:

and if i increase the flow anymore i get loads of sand flying around the tank

I could go barbottom but i dont know if i could hack that???
but i was wondering if there was a way i could stick the sand down onto the glass?

I agree with Poseidon, With that much flow your not gonna keep the sand from blowing around. Bare bottom.

What size tank do you have and what size streams did you buy? It looks like you can go white water rafting on the tank surface.

yeah its a 100 gal 40"x24"widex28"high, i had 2 6000 streams running at 90-100% , but added two 6100 streams and now they are all on 30% and its a right royal ride

but with my new 7 foot x 2.5 x 2 it should be fun , but will go bare bottom on it.

I have also just went barebottom on my new 450 set up, after several years with a 6" DSB on my 220. I will be adding Streams or the new Rios soon.Good luck with your new set up.

I don't mind at this point because normally I would not put any sand in for about six months anyway. This assures that all the L.R. die off and detritus will not accumulate in the sand. It is a trade off,but I think I will be better off with a BB with a high flow circulation SPS tank. I have to admit, I did toss back and forth between a DSB abd BB. I can always add sand at a later date if I change my mind.

You can always add a thin thin layer of crushed shell... Maybe that won't get blown around as much!

Initially a light color may help, but I have necer tried this. Some people use "starboard" ,the material used in plastic cutting boards. They place this on the bottom and it comes in colors. You can do a search on the net for cutting boards. However after time you will have coraline algae covering the bottom as well as corals that you place there.
