what a disaster!
wow...
this funny and stupid at the same time. i am so p*ssed right now its not even funny. okay well here we go. i filled up a 5gal bucket with 5 gallons of saltwater and was getting ready to put the cr*ppy *ss penguin filter in when i figured it was broken, so i accidently pluuged the heater in instead of the penguin and it heated up pretty quick, so i fianlly realized i did this(the heater is sitting on the drawer next to me while heating up) so i unplug it and i put it in the water without thinking, and PUFF!!!! the heater explodes!, and i just wasted 5 gallons of water, a perfectly working heater, all becuase of my stupidity, and that STUPID penguin filter. everyone, DO NOT BUY THE PENGUIN BIO FILTERs, THEY SUCK! go ahead and laugh... i commited a newbie mistake. now im really screwed, becuase im broke and i need a new heater and a powerhead for water changes, and dont forget, MORE WATER.

Ouch! I only wish I could say I never did anything like that, but I have, more than once
Next time you won't do that so now you're one step closer to being an old salt ![]() Regards, Kevin

dont feel bad, i used to keep a small 20 gal freshwater tank in my room. Well, i gave away my fish and was tearing the aquarium down and set the heater on my dresser. It got late, I decided to go to bed, realized i couldn't sleep without the sound of water moving, plugged the airstone in and went to the bathroom. Come back, and turns out I plugged in the heater, which is burning a hole in my solid oak dresser. There's a permanant score mark, and everytime I see it I'm reminded of my stupidity
