Cool Lionfish and anemones

Will lionfish and condalac anemones be compatible in a reef tank?
Will the anemone hurt the lionfish or vice versa?

I DON'T THINK LIONFISH WOULD BE SAFE FOR A REEF TANK. I THINK IT WILL KNOCK ALL YOUR CORAL AND HURT IT. WITH ANEMONES THEY TEND TO MOVE ALOT AND KNOCK DOWN YOUR LIVESTOCK

I think what makes it confusing is that you mention a reef tank in your first post.

I don't think that a Lionfish will bother an Anemone, however I also don't think that someone as new as yourself should be considering looking at either. You really need to understand their needs (and be able to meet them) before you attempt keeping either.

What happened to your so-called Lizard Blenny? Did he die from eating too many goldfish?

I doubt that the lionfish will bother your Condylactis gigantea anemones and the anemones should't bother the lionfish but once the anemones get larger they will certainly be a threat to eat small bottom dwelling fish and anything else that manages to get too close. Just how many of these anemones do you have in your 55-gal tank? BTW, Condylactis gigantea is NOT a clownfish-hosting sea anemone, it is an Atlantic species and quite hardy.

Are you still talking to that LFS guy? Be sure to tell him about our little conversations. Tell him he should join in. We would love to meet him!

P.S. -- Don't forget that the lionfish will get larger, which means his mouth will get larger, too. He will eat any other fish that he can fit into his mouth. And no, you shouldn't feed him goldfish either.

You mean Num1filterguy? Or Numb One as he is known to his friends.

He never did register here using his real name. He re-registered on another board under his real name after he was run off under his previous board name.

Don't even go there!

P.S. -- We don't get many of the really "interesting" LFS people because we only get the ones who can read and write. Or type.
