Found small crab.

Found small crab.

I found this small crab:




but its not a acro crab as they usually have the white claws:



Anyone got anyideas of what it is or what i should do with it?

all i know its hairy and got white eyes = mean to me.

so it may go for a little surf.

IN my books, if it is hairy AND has BLACK TIPPED claws, then its time to go to the EAC ahhaah the big surf. If its just hairy, I just observe and see what happens.

Others may deal with it differently.

I've come across those crabs before. In all encounters I observed them eating corallites off of acropora. I'd remove him.

So have I. Joe is right on the money about removing them,after I removed mine I found a good patch of bare skeleton where this little bugger was residing.

yeah gene, looks similar but not sure if its the same, asmine seems hairier and has white eyes not black, but i just was worrying about the coral, so he went for a surf.
