Question Identification Help

I was wondering if anyone could identify what the heck that white cloudy blob looking thing is in my brown polyps. Never saw it before today, my only guess is that it is a spawn of my bubble coral?

Suggestions?

Thanks

Subskipper,

I don't think it is a spawn from your bubble coral, that is something you would have noticed on the bubble coral. With that said however, I am unsure what else it could be.

I wonder if knowing my inhabitants will help:

5 Cleaner shrimp
4 Black & White Stripped Damsels
1 Blue Damsel
1 Maroon & Yellow Clown
1 percula clown
2 Green Chromis
1 Bubble Coral
1 Fiji Pipe Coral
2 Mushroom Coral
2 Brown Polyp Coral
1 Yellow polyp coral
3 anenomes (2 bulb, 1 pacific)
120lbs of live rock (100 prem fiji, 20lbs tonga)

The only thing I have seen breed in this tank are the cleaner shrimp. Water is crystal clear, Nitrite, Nitrate and Ammonia read normal, PH is 8.3, Temp 76.

It does not appear that anything is moving inside of this, but it is getting larger.

Hope that helps

It could be some sort of sponge? Just throwing a thought out there.

I also think that it is small sponge that is growing there. I have few that looks very similar except that mine grow mostly under rocks and plating corals. However, that shouldn't make any difference as sponges can grow anywhere.

Thanks everyone for their input, I went away for a few days to recharge my batteries and upon my return, the sponge like creature was gone.

Easy come? Easy Go!
