Can't say I have any thoughts on them, but my lfs has two rocks (they've been there for a few weeks) with blue christmas tree worms on them... They want $80. each tho... which is probably why they still have them..... The rocks are decent sized tho (probably 6"-8" or so) ..... Not sure where you are, but I am in Michigan (Detroit area) for reference. Good luck getting some! (I might get one of these if they still have them when my tank finishes cycling

the ones i have are fairly large, each crown is 3/4"- 1".
all dusters & xmas worm types feed from the bottom up,
so face their crown away from the current if possible.
i don't do anything special to keep them, but i do have
a low fish load & i have feather dusters coating the back
wall of my 125G. they like whatever i'm doing

here's a link on christmas worms:

Sueet,

Does that lfs charge by the worm or by the rock? If it's a nice rock with quite a few worms on it I would say that 80 bucks would be worth it.

Samper,

They sell by the rock.... but what is "quite a few" worms? I would guestimate approximately 10-15 on each rock, but seriously, that is only a guess, because I didn't look too closely... with a $80. price tag, I can't afford to fall in love just yet ..... Actually I am going to be going past there later today, so I will stop in and see if I can get a closer count. (won't be perfect as I will only be able to see the top and front basically ... but I will try)

Well... I was wrong on the count for one of the rocks... It actually only has about 10 or 11 worms, and a couple of those appear to be sharing a hole? Also, there is an aiptasia anemone sitting up on top of that one, so .. prolly wont be sold anytime soon... at least not to anyone smart enough to care for it ... The other one does have about 15 or 16 worms on it, but they aren't all blue, they appear to be multicolored? They are also quite a bit smaller (i.e. younger?) than the blue only 'rock' ... I read that article, and it says this type of coral *the rock* is probably the least beneficial type for these worms, so I think I am going to control myself, and not buy one of these... I will wait until I can get some on a better coral, or ... perhaps, just not get any at all, until I am much more experienced. They ARE SO pretty tho!
