Exclamation True percula hosting a FEATHER DUSTER???

I have searched online, but don't really find any info on whether or not this is normal... I have an anemone that I bought at the same time as the clown (it's a bubbletip), but ... oddly, it has stationed itself upside down on my rocks, so I don't think the clowns even knows it's there...
I have a true percula pair (they weren't a pair until I placed them in the same tank... She immediately grabbed him, as if to say, "You're MINE" ... and he gratefully submitted) ... It's the strangest thing to see... the little male cuddling up to the feather duster (the female slides in under the crown and guards)...... and even stranger to see the feather duster allowing the contact..... usually it retracts at any contact or close motion...

What I am wondering now is... Should I find a long tentacled.. anything (coral I would assume, because a second anemone would not be a good idea) or should I leave them be with the feather duster? I don't think the feather duster minds, in fact it seems rather happy about the situation, BUT the female gets pretty upset when her "host" disappears... as he must by nature. Suggestions?

It is quite common and will not harm the Feather Duster. I have one at the store right now that does the same thing. I will post a picture tonight. As they mature (about 3 years old) they may find an anemone. Mine took 2 years to host in my Sebae (H. crispa) anemone.

HTH,
Kevin

My false percs have hosted in Xenia, Green Star Polyps, Frogspawn, Frilly Mushrooms, Alveopora and a MH 1200 Powerhead I don't think that they are too picky.

Well, it's good to know it's not abnormal at least... although, being MY critters, I guess I wouldn't find it as abnormal as most... lol..

As for a pic, I have been searching for my camera since last night, and have not found it yet... I am thinking perhaps my daughter borrowed it again..... I just wish she would tell me when she does that! ...
Honestly, not sure how a pic will come out even if I do find it or get it back, because it's a bowfront aquarium... and I know that glass messes with MY eyes pretty bad, so I dunno what it will do to a camera lens.. and it's just a plain camera, nothing special... nor would I know how to use it if it did have any special settings, soooooo..... but if I get my camera back I will try anyway, because I would like to have a pic of it myself

LOL! Now that would be fun to see...And it would be the first time I've heard of Cyanobacteria doing something useful too! Did it snuggle/cuddle around like my lil guy is doing with this worm? That cuddling is why I bought these clowns... I never knew they did that... I was avoiding them because of the sudden "rush" by people to get clowns after Finding Nemo came out, but when I saw them in their hosts in the store.. I fell in love. I will get them something more suitable, but I am going to wait until my second tank finishes cycling, and give that tank to them... Maybe give them a good choice of hosts

Yeah, sort of snuggling. It would hover in the patch and do the little wiggly movements as if trying to blow debris off the cyano "tentacles." Pretty funny. I might even have a picture of it somewhere, I'll have to check. Good luck with your clowns!
