how long can RO/DI water sit around?

hi everyone,

I bought 10 gallons of RO/DI water 7 days ago and am wondering how long they can sit in buckets? The water has not been mixed yet and I don't have extra powerheads to circulate them. I'm just waiting for an treatment to be done before I do the water change. Thanks.

The water needs to have an air pump running in it for sure and be kept in a dark place. From the reading I have done you should also have a tight fitting lid on top to keep contaminates from getting in. . Should be good for a while if you take these steps.
