About LinkBacksIs a Pre-filter into a wet/dry system for a reef tank necessary? Those hang-on boxes with the flossy cylindrical filter surrounding the hose nozzle . . .

Pre-filter
- 07-02-2004, 10:05 PM #2If your tank is not RR and you plan on using the wet/dry..you need a way to get water from the display down to the filter so I would say yes..you need an overflow box

The wet/dry is not the best choice for a reef, you should do some research on the subject before utilizing it.
