clown trigger?

hey

would i be able to get a Small clown trigger for my 30 gal tank, it only has 28 lbs of rock, so i really dont consider it a reef, more of a FWLR.

My buddy ....the one who says he knows all about reef aquariums but doesnt has just put an inch and a half clown trigger in his tank. It is a 30g octagon with a royal gramma, 4 blue damsels, a scooter blenny, an algae blenny and some sort of hawkfish. The damsels were picking on him until he killed two. Now they don't mess with him. He also killed his gramma and has taken nips of the blennys tail fins. The clown trigger is an aggressive fish from what I've seen, it's teeth are ever growing and it will nibble on anything that it can fit into its mouth. For a 30 gallon tank I wouldnt recommend one because from what I have read they grow to around 8 inches.

Be sure to tell your buddy he's becoming famous on one of the online bulletin boards that he warned you about. Tell him everybody's laughing at him.

I wouldn't recommend one for a 30-gal tank either.

Hmmm... How about 20" (50 cm): http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/Spec...e=conspicillum

No need to worry! The stoner at the LFS assured me that none of their fish will get larger than about 4" in our tanks.

Samper,

We just caught something in our backyard that your buddy will almost certainly want for his 30-gal freshwater tank, if he has one. It's a 4-ft long Alligator mississippiensis. My nephew took some pictures with his digital camera just before he left with the gator to take it for a boat ride into the swamp where he will release it. I'll post some pictures later on this evening after he gets back with his camera.
