Acro bleeched, will it survive?

Acro bleeched, will it survive?

I gpt this acro in the beginning of january:

and under my lighting it was starting to get a nice blue tinge to it:

but then i moved my tank, and i think this must of stressed it, as after around 1 month of the move the acro bleached half over night, so i did 2 frags of it, hoping that if the main colony didnt survive they would. Well the next morning both the frags had lossed all the tissue and the main colony had lost more, but there after about 1 week of the event is some tissue left on the coral:

(its the brown patch you can see).

i cant see any polyp extension for the coral night and day but then i wouldnt expect to. But i am wondering if it is a lost cause, or should i leave it in there and see what happens, as i know frags can start from tiny pieces, so surely this is just like a frag?

Hey Andrew,

If there is a patch of tissue that is still visible with polyp extension, and the receeding has stopped, I would definitely hang on to it for observation. The worse that could happen is the small patch receeds and the coral is tossed; best case scenario is in several months, you'll have a sizeable branch that you can clip and glue to a new piece of rock.

cool thanx scott. yeah the tissue has stop receeding and today has possibly grown today , but that may just be my wishful thinking . but i havent seen any polyps out on it, but that coral never really had any polyps out during the day ever, and at night its at the back of a 30" wide tank so cant see it to well. but ill have a good look tonight. i hope it makes it
